Composer avec la Bléone (To deal with Bléone), 2021-2023

@musee_gassendi, Digne les Bains.
The research I have been conducting for about a year in residence at CAIRN is interested in the Bléone River, a river that runs from the peaks of the Alpes de Haute Provence to the orchards of the Durance. It presents itself to me as a thread that links various apparently disjointed histories, but all constitutive of this territory of the Alpes de Haute Provence. I started with the construction of an "observatory" of the Bléone ("to change bed, to change body") It is a construction in pebbles carried by the river. The construction redraws an island-terrace formed by the floods of the river which remodels its bed with these multiple streams in braids. I "amplified" this natural architecture of the river by building an enclosure, physically measuring the shape and its temporary inscription in a duration of four seasons
