10 x 5.5 x 28 m approx.
Realized at the Galerie des Enfants, Centre Pompidou, Paris

Project manager : Odile Fayet
Soulever le monde is composed of a multitude of objects recovered or made in collaboration with the students of a secondary school in Villetaneuse, Seine-Saint-Denis. Inspired by the traditional fishing devices of the Italian Adriatic coast and the Balinese puppet theater, the structure is suspended and articulated using a system of pulleys, weights and counterweights. The young visitors are actors of the work in perpetual transformation through their individual and collective action. "Lifting the world", as one raises questions and elements by taking them out of their context, in order to modify it and see it differently.
